Bikers and Live Music Pub,

web: http://
www.vicbikerspub.co.uk Situated
between J22 of M1 and J13 of M42 on the A511,follow signs from the
ring road for Hermitage Park Hotel and the Victoria is about 75
yards away, a large white pub with two very large car/bike parks
standing in its own grounds with ample grassy areas, trees and shrubs
surround two of the sides. The Vic is becoming recognised on a national
level and bikers have travelled from many parts of the UK for a
weekends camping, fun and
frolics.
Apart from the
Live music the camping has to be the next biggest attraction, many
bike clubs will visit the Vic throughout the year and camp-over
for one or two nights, we prefer one night as this gives others
a chance as we can only accommodate about thirty tents, but if it's
a weekend you want that's fine, we have had bikers come on a Friday,
liked it that much they have not left until the Monday.
camping is £2 per person per night, this helps towards the
cctv everywhere and security through the night, there are obviously
toilets and washing facilities, camping is by pre-booking only.
Food is always available in some shape or form, the BBQ normally
starts about 9pm and runs through until about 1am,for Burgers, Hot
Dogs, Chicken fillet baps, Gammon baps, etc the bar shuts at midnight
but tea and coffee is on tap until you've had enough, in the day
we do Curries, Chip butties, bacon butties, breakfasts, even Sunday
roasts but only for four or more and you must pre-book.
The Victoria was featured in the 2001 Crossbow Calendar, (the motorcycle
worlds Pirelli Calendar) we had a day with page 3 stunner Tracy
Colman who had a camera crew taking many pictures of her assets
and of course motorcycles.
Many motorcycle clubs start or end there charity ride-outs at The
Vic and we'll help organise free auctions to help clubs raise money.
Lets hope one day you'll pay us a visit, All The Best Nita and John

Anvil Inn, Main Street, Sawdon nr Scarborough North
Yorkshire, YO13 9DY, tel 01723 859896, e-mail info@theanvilinn.co.uk,
web add: http://theanvilinn.co.uk
We have 2 double and 2 twin rooms all en suite and we also
have camping facility and a 32 cover restaurant also have
live music every friday night.along with a great selections
of beers and ales.
The village
of Sawdon stands just off the A170 and is on the edge of Wykeham
Forest - a village which could easily be missed by the unwary,
The building was a working forge up to 1986 and many of the
tools, the leather bellows and the anvil still remain as a
reminder of its' working days. In 1988 it was converted into
an inn and was called The Old Forge House. Today it is known
as The Anvil Inn with only the presence of the old furnace
- now an ornamental area - and the anvil set in the middle
of the floor reminding us of the buildings former life.
Location
Set in an unspoilt village in the North Yorkshire Moors National
Park, off the main A170 Thirsk to Scarborough road, the family
- run Inn is the perfect base for a relaxing holiday.
