There are six models in the Sportster range for 2003, including
the return of the 883R. The 883R retains its race inspired heritage
with its Harley-Davidson racing orange paint scheme (the only 2003
model not available in an anniversary colour) and upswept chrome
exhaust. But it doesn't miss out on the party and features 100th
anniversary markings. All 2003 Sportsters have new mirrors with
enhanced functionality and style and the XL 1200S has a new chrome
exhaust

Super
Glide, Super Glide Sport, Super Glide T-Sport, Low Rider, Wide Glide.
The biggest change to the Dyna Glide family in 2003 comes on the Wide
Glide. The 2003 bike has repositioned rider foot pegs that add comfort
for taller riders, and a repositioned brake pedal for enhanced ergonomics.
Other notable changes include a new chrome exhaust package for the
Super Glide Sport and a black-and-chrome engine and additional chrome
components (including primary covers, batters covers and belt guard)
for the Super Glide T-Sport. All 2003 Dynas have new mirrors with
enhanced functionality and style.

Standard, Night Train, Fat Boy, Springer, Deuce, Heritage Springer,
Heritage Classic. The long, low lines of the Softail family are further
enhanced by the 100th anniversary styling and the introduction, for
2003, of 150 mm rear tyres on all models (except Deuce which has a
160 mm rear tyre and the Heritage Springer). And returning for 2003
is the availability of Harley-Davidson's Electronic Sequential Port
Fuel Injection (ESPFI) which delivers reliable, predictable performance
no matter what the temperature, altitude or riding conditions.

Electra
Glide Standard, Road King, Electra Glide Classic, Road King Classic,
Ultra Classic Electra Glide 100th anniversary styling is joined in
2003 by a new in-dash CD player (replacing 2002's cassette player)
as standard on all stereo equipped models. Other new features for
2003 include: integrated CB and intercom controls, which have been
moved from the tank console to the stereo; CD storage capabilities
on the Ultra Classic Electra Glide; and anniversary gold cast wheels
on the Electra Glide Classic and the Ultra Classic Electra Glide (when
Two-Tone Sterling Silver and Vivid Black is specified).

Last
year was the year of the V-Rod. The striking Anodized Aluminium performance
custom cruiser took the motorcycle world by storm, winning awards
and praise wherever it went. For 2003, the V-Rod will be available
in two 100th anniversary looks, one continuing the raw visual impact
of Anodized Aluminium and a second featuring the Two-Tone Sterling
Silver and Vivid Black paint combination. Also new, a security system
is now standard on every V-Rod. |
